Dahi Baray Recipe 

Dahi Baray is a popular Pakistani dish that has been enjoyed by people for generations. Ingredients:

- 1 cup Urad dal (split black gram)

- Salt as per taste

- 1 tsp Cumin seeds

- 2 Green chillies (chopped)

- ½ inch Ginger piece (chopped)

- Oil for frying

For Yogurt Sauce:

- 2 cups Yogurt

- Salt as per taste

- Water as needed

Method:

1. Soak urad dal in water overnight.

2. Drain the water from soaked urad dal and grind it into a fine paste using a grinder. Add cumin seeds, chopped green chilies, ginger and salt to the mixture.

3. Beat the batter until it becomes light and fluffy.

4. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.

5. Take spoonfuls of batter mixture using your hands or two spoons, drop gently into hot oil one by one.

6 Fry till golden brown on both sides then take out on absorbent paper towels to remove excess oil.

For preparing Yogurt Sauce:

7 Mix yogurt with salt according to your taste along with some water until you get a smooth consistency like sauce.

For Serving Dahi Baray:

8 Dip each fried barah into prepared yogurt sauce and place onto serving plate/bowl then drizzle chaat masala powder on top of every dahi bara for garnishing!

9 You can also add green chutney or tamarind chutney if you want more flavours!
